Thailand 2025

Last time we decided to embark on an adventure to Thailand was in 2016. It was the family’s first foray out of the country, and we opted for the most budget-friendly option we could find – a thrilling 5D/4N group tour package, which included 2 nights in the beachy paradise of Pattaya and 2 in the bustling chaos of Bangkok. The trip went well, except for the little mishap with my passport (more on that mishap another time)!

Since then, we’ve embarked on many more trips—both packaged and our own concoctions! We quickly discovered that Phuket and Krabi are the VIPs of Thailand tourism. With our tight office schedules leaving no room for detailed planning, we decided to play it safe and go for another packaged tour.

Here’s the itinerary for the MMT package we booked. Adventure awaited — all we had to do was work furiously, throw in things into our suitcases, set our OOOs, and dash to the airport in time to catch our flight.

I have been reading voraciously since the age of five when I first discovered the joys of reading. I would lap up anything in print. Unrolling an emptied newspaper cone with one hand, stuffing roasted peanuts in my mouth with the other, all the while devouring the printed content on the cone with my eyes, was one of my first experiences in hedonistic pleasure. In fact, sometimes I feel that I am on an adventurous journey through the secret dreamworld of other people's imaginations, interspersed with occasional visits to my own life to attend events like graduation, first job, marriage, and so on. As a true-blue reader, I think I am uniquely qualified to comment on and critique other people's works of labour. I can tell exactly what puts the average reader to sleep, what sets their pulse racing, and what has them salivating for more. Write to me at leenatpandey@gmail.com.

I would love to hear from you...
