Got the first Covishield jab yesterday

So my mom, husband, and I got our first Covishield jabs yesterday.

Registering was simple and the whole thing was seamless and uneventful.

We were all fine during the mandatory observation period of half an hour, but we all reacted differently after reaching back.

The health worker had told us to take a paracetamol twice a day for two days as a precautionary measure, so we had one each as soon as we reached home around 6 pm in the evening. Probably because of that, we were all fine till we slept.

I had trouble sleeping till late in the night but that is a normal for me once or twice a week. But just as I drifted off to sleep, my mom called. She was shivering and had fever, so I gave her a paracetamol. My husband too had slight chills, but was otherwise fine. I was completely okay except for the lack of sleep.

As today was a holiday for us, I had a pretty restful day. But just as my mom started recovering in the afternoon, I felt my energy dipping. I had a long dream-filled siesta in the afternoon but woke up to fever and a feeling of even more fatigue than when I had gone to sleep now.

I’ve taken another paracetamol afer dinner. Hoping I’ll wake up fit and fine tomorrow. Weird how the vaccine affects different people in different ways!

Anyway, going back to bed now hoping for restful sleep.
