The Auberge Chez Plume Hotel

Video Review

Dec 2022

Our last year-end vacation was in Seychelles. We spent three nights in Praslin and another three in the main island of Mahe. In Mahe, our stay was at the Auberge Chez Plume, a charming hotel located on the island’s West Coast. The hotel was right across the road from the Anse Boileau beach. The Anse Boileau village is at the foot of a steep mountain and on the shores of the Indian Ocean .

At the Auberge, we stayed in the Standard Quadruple room (Family room), which included a double bed and two bunk beds. The room was quite nice, shaped like a hut with a beautiful sit-out area with wrought iron chairs and table.

The hotel layout was well-designed, making good use of the rather limited green space.

The hotel’s gourmet restaurant, Chez Plume, is its highlight. In fact, the hotel’s entry is through the restaurant. Apart from the complimentary breakfast buffet, we tried out sandwiches and different pizza varieties. I highly recommend their pizza.

I have been reading voraciously since the age of five when I first discovered the joys of reading. I would lap up anything in print. Unrolling an emptied newspaper cone with one hand, stuffing roasted peanuts in my mouth with the other, all the while devouring the printed content on the cone with my eyes, was one of my first experiences in hedonistic pleasure. In fact, sometimes I feel that I am on an adventurous journey through the secret dreamworld of other people's imaginations, interspersed with occasional visits to my own life to attend events like graduation, first job, marriage, and so on. As a true-blue reader, I think I am uniquely qualified to comment on and critique other people's works of labour. I can tell exactly what puts the average reader to sleep, what sets their pulse racing, and what has them salivating for more. Write to me at leenatpandey@gmail.com.

I would love to hear from you...
